BENEFITS OF
ASSISTED STRETCHING

1. Increase range of motion – a consistent assisted stretching routine increases your range of motion making activities of daily living (ADLs) easier, thus improving your overall quality of life.  Increased range of motion in active older adults also reduces falls and risk of injuries.

2. Reduce muscle/joint pain – Motion is Lotion: through assisted stretching, one alleviates uneven muscle tension.  This allows joints to move through an increased range of motion to reduce and alleviate your pain.

3. Reduce stress – life can be stressful.  Assisted stretching improves blood and oxygen flow to muscles.  Not only does this help with muscle recovery, it also improves your physical well-being, your mental health, and mental clarity, hence reduces your stress levels.

4. Improve posture – uneven tension of the muscular system on your skeletal system creates poor posture over time.  Assisted stretching creates even tension and symmetry to help pull your body back into alignment and improve your posture and reduce strain on body.

5. Improve sports and your workout performance – take your sports performance and workouts to the next level because increased ROM and flexibility recruits more muscle fibers which then become available to enhance any activity you engage in.

6. Prevent injuries – improving and maintaining range of motion and flexibility addresses muscular imbalances.  Assisted stretching can lower the risk of injury during daily physical activities.

7. Improve Balance and Coordination – assisted stretching targets specific muscle groups which can enhance balance and coordination by creating even tension on the skeletal system.
